Benjamin Gibbard has released his latest solo track, the very interesting “Something’s Rattling (Cowpoke)”. It’s the 2nd track that we have heard from his debut solo release, Former Lives (October 16th via Barsuk Records).
On the song, Gibbard utilizes what sounds like Latin influenced horns, that even go as far as striking a Beirut-like influence. Gibbard comes in and makes the song very much his, and it sounds like he has Chris Walla helping out on some backup vocals. It’s a rather lovely track. Take a listen below.
