Chicago’s Santah have a EP on the way titled You’re Still A Lover. They have released the first single from the EP, “Indigo”, as a free download.

While “Indigo” does have a upbeat nature, there’s simultaneously also a bleaker tint to it. Singer Stanton McConnell explained the hard to swallow emotions that are buried within:

It’s a dark wedding march about watching the person you love walk down the aisle with someone else and trying to come to terms with it. You cannot accept it yet you completely love this person. The song captures the pushing and pulling of these two sentiments and the mechanisms you employ to help deal with it: escapism, rationalization, and downright begging.

That’s heavy stuff.

They do a fine job capturing all these different emotions in the song. “Indigo” is a passionate one, that’s for sure.

The band will be playing during CMJ on 10/15, 10/16, and 10/18. Going to have to try and catch them.
