While I like to think of myself as focusing on “indie rock”, I think of Rogo over at It’s A Rap as the rap minded version of myself. I trust his opinion, and really enjoyed his post about The Dean’s List’s new song “Hennessy At Cookouts”. They’re calling the project The King’s Dead, but at heart it’s still The Dean’s List.
What starts off with epic Kanye-like production, kicks into a smooth rap that I’m enjoying quite a bit. It’s set to appear on their new album Jerusalem, which they will release for free on September 17. Not only are the verses enjoyable, but the production is off the charts good.
