Sigur Rós are one of those bands that everyone should see live, at least once. I yet to experience their live show, but live recordings have told me that these guys are probably a gift to behold in a live setting.

They have just announced some new tour dates for this summer, leading up to the release of new album Valtari, out May 29 via XL Recordings. Listen to lead single “Ekki Múkk” here. This is their first time touring since 2008.

I won’t miss their show at Prospect Park on July 31. You can bet on that. Find full dates after the jump. Fan pre-sale starts soon over at the bands site. Ticketmaster pre-sale is on Wednesday, April 18, at noon, and the regular sale is Friday, April 20 at noon. Ticket link is here.
