If you recall, Rocket Juice And The Moon is the new super-collaboration between Damon Albarn (Blur/Gorillaz/The Good, The Bad, & The Queen), Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers), and afrobeat drummer Tony Allen.
The band are releasing their self titled debut album on March 27 via Albarn’s own label, Honest Jon’s. They released the first bit of recorded music in the form of “Hey Shooter”, which features Erykah Badu.
It’s a funky bit of work that wears a bit of everyone’s influences on its sleeve. It’s a lot more of an experimental track than you may expect. Late night listening in smoke-filled bars may be an ideal listening spot.
