For The Kills single release of “The Last Goodbye” they covered The Velvet Underground’s “Pale Blue Eyes”. It’s my personal favorite from The VU, and I’m glad that The Kills decided to give it a new look.
It gets all dirtied up with a gritty outlook that only Alison Mosshart could pull off. It’s a different version, but it gives a good song a cool new feel, and that’s the difference between a cover, and a damned good cover.
