Check out this hazy summer jam called “Despicable Dogs” from a bright young Brooklyn band known as Small Black. I discovered them through the wonderful music video for “Despicable Dogs”, which featured Small Black’s vocalist, Josh Kolenik’s, Uncle Matt. It was perfectly made, making the song that much more memorable for me. Watch:
“Despicable Dogs” was featured on their self titled debut EP that they released last year after successful showcases at SXSW & CMJ. The band has announced that their debut album, New Chain, is coming out October 26th via Jagjaguwar. I’m really impressed by them after only hearing this one song. Hope the album is up to par!
