Distractions are a great new band from Chicago who just put out their self titled debut album on cassette tape via Plustapes. They just got forkcasted, so you can imagine the band is feeling pretty good. The album is going to get re-mastered/mixed for a vinyl release that will come out later this year. They recently signed to Infinite Best Recordings, which is home to Twin Sister.
The song that got them all the attention is “All Night”, and it is well deserved. It sounds well formed and very diverse. Distractions don’t seem too shy about sharing their vast number of multi-genre influences on their songs. “All Night” is a impressive feat. The song has this live lounge rock attitude that is simply too cool for words. I can only imagine how great it will sound on that vinyl remaster release.
