Girls debut album creativly titled “Album” is one of my favorite albums of the year. If you remember, I have loved them before their pitchfork 9.1 score. I mentioned them as a band to watch back in December, they were too damn good to ever think about letting you loyal readers down!!
“Hellhole Ratrace” is without a doubt one of my favorite songs in a long time. There is something magical about that song. We all know that by now though.
One song that showed a entirely different side of Girls to me is “Morning Light”. Girls layed down one perfect piece of shoegaze. The melodies sore to blissful heights even under all that lo-fi haze. The song is both beautiful and rocking. This is everything that I enjoy in music.
