I am getting through Kid Cudi’s hotly anticipated debut album Man On The Moon: The End Of Day right now, but don’t quite have a solid opinion yet. I am enjoying it, but I am not sure exactly how much.

It is quite diverse for a hip hop record. Cudi sounds so fresh when you look at the rest of the stale hip-hop scene. He has combined indie and hip-hop successfully, which is rarely done these days.

Here is are two tracks that really stood out to me (aside from the obvious winner that is Day N Nite). The first is called “Soundtrack 2 My Life” and the 2nd is “Pursuit of Happiness” which features both MGMT & Ratatat. “Soundtrack 2 My Life” stood out right away. A great beat, cool background, and slick rhymes. This is dope.

Gotta love this line: “I Got 99 Problems & They All Bitches.”

“Pursuit Of Happiness is a pretty great collaboration of 3 very different but unique artists. Ratatat do their thing making their Ratatat guitars while MGMT provide some great vocal moments alongside Cudi’s rapping. This works way too good. This was a brilliant idea!! This song is beyond chill.
