To give you a reminder of what Beck’s “Record Club” is, here is the exerpt I used in my previous post:
Beck is at it again with his creativity this time with a brand new project. It is called his Record Club project. Beck and some of his “celebrity†friends will pick a classic album, spend one day recording a cover of the entire thing, and then post it on the Internet, one song at a time. The coolest part is that nothing is rehearsed ahead of time, what you see is them going out there and performing it true to heart!
Beck has been releasing the rest of his Velvet Underground & Nico covers slowly, but surely. First, he gave us a great cover of “Sunday Morning“. Now he has gracefully put his Beck touch on “I’m Waiting For The Man” and “Femme Fatale”.
Both covers are spectacular. Beck was able to successfully keep each songs original passion, while also making it very distinctly Beck. That is not an easy thing to do!
Beck has hit a home run with this so far, lets hope he can keep it going!
