Bird Automatic

Bird Automatic are a 5 piece out of Australia that write delightful indie pop tunes. They themselves describe their sound as “Bird Automatic’s sound is an ethereal one. The instruments all meld together to create a warm halo of intertwining guitars dipped in reverb and soft synthesizer chords. Chris Bradstreet’s vocals are understated but endearing. It’s gorgeous indie pop.” Don’t believe them? Then let your ears do the judging from this standout from their six song EP Not Morning People:

Boogie Boarder are a Brooklyn band that describe their style as “the beast-lord avatar of a two-minute pop song”. They play catchy surf rock music that is hard to dislike. Check out the crisp “Bio Hassle” which will be off their upcoming LP Pizza Hero. What a title eh? These guys are tons of fun. Surf is still alive!

The Coast

Some call The Coast “Canadas best kept secret”. However the buzz that this band got for their first EP was no secret up north, and now they are getting tons of great press for their debut album Expatriate. With songs like “Killing Off Our Friends”, it is no secret why.

Wild Moccasins

Male/Female vocals, delightful pop, hooks galore. Wild Moccasins showcase their youthful energy with these colorful songs. An absolute delight to listen to, it is impossible to dislike a band this good. Mike from the fantastic blog Obscure Sound has a wonderful writeup of the band. He pretty much summed them up perfectly.

Reverie Sound Revue

Music is doing its job & at its best when it makes you feel emotions. If Reverie Sound Revue’s dreamy “An Anniversary Away” doesn’t make you reflect a bit, I don’t know what will. Fans of the band have waited almost 6 years for their debut! It seems it was well worth it!
