Bon Iver created one of the most beautiful albums of the year. I have been able to play his debut “For Emma, Forever Ago” over and over without getting tired of it one bit. He really has made a name for himself in a pretty short period of time. He has decided to release a new EP to keep up with the momentum. It is entitled Blood Bank EP and will be released January 20th, 2009.
I have heard 2 of the 4 tracks from the EP and they continue the winter cabin atmosphere that critics and music lovers adored alike over the past year. These are more intimate songs that you should be playing when you are out enjoying your snowfall this winter.
We can all eagerly await Bon’s follow up to For Emma, but in the meantime this should be enough to help us pass the time. Give a listen to 2 tracks below and see why he is becoming my Sufjan Stevens of 2008!:
