There is just way too much good new music out there these days to follow everything. So there is bound to be those few tracks that are stellar but they just happen to slip by your radar. It happens. So why not play catch up. Here are some bands/songs that I just found or finally caught up to. It’s a mega-compilation of sorts.:

The Cool Kids

The Cool Kids have been on my list to get to for over a year it seems. So I finally got my hands on their Bake Sale [EP] and it is absolute fire!! There delivery is clean, lyrics are funny, and their beats will make any room shake. These guys have only released their EP, so look out for their album. That thing will surely be hot.

Horse Feathers

The awesome people from Toolshed sent me this gem in an e-mail a long time ago, but for some reason I let it be. However I recently went back to it and discovered the beauty in Justin Ringle’s fronted Horse Feathers.

The Henry Clay People

Well thanks to you aint no picasso I have discovered the Henry Clay People. This song is awesome, some really cool guitar work. Some of the best moments are between chorus’s. That riff gets more infectious over time. Gotta find more stuff from them for sure.

Introductions can be a tricky thing. My intro to the Brooklyn band Creaky Boards was when they claimed Coldplay ripped off their song “The Song’s I Didn’t Write” (ironicly titled). I didn’t quite believe it, and still don’t but I put the band off for a while. Since that story has sorta died off and the Creaky Boards album is about to drop soon, I felt it was time to jump back in. The song is very enjoyable. I am interested to see how their other songs sound.
