Brooklyn-based trio will return with their sophomore album Messy Pretty on February 22, 2019. The album is a collection of songs that “speak loudly and clearly about queerness and identity through personal experience and interpretation.”

We had previously shared first single “Rain Hat” and today we share the second single: “Jaws.”

The track features some very 90s emo rock guitar work that reminds a bit of acts like American Football. Nice guitar work and passionate lead vocals all add up to something that feels earned and real. Here’s how the band describes the song:

“Jaws” talks about staying in a relationship that’s all but fallen apart, just to extract the smallest amount of happiness from it even if the rest is toxic or harmful. It describes wanting to feel like you belong in someone else’s world and is a song to make you both sad and super happy all at the same time.

Find a stream of “Jaws” posted below and the whole album available to pre-order now at their Bandcamp.
