Melbourne, Australia act The Ovals have caught my attention with their excellent psych-rock jam “Refugees”. If you’re a fan of the heavy hitting dream psych that bands like Tame Impala revisited last year, then you will love The Ovals.
“Refugees” aims for the deepest parts of the atmosphere, and boy are they cruising. It’s a drugged out jam that features some of the dreamiest vocals that you will hear all year. Put them over some 70s influenced psych rock, and you got quite the song.
