I still remember the impact of “Carousel” when Ravens & Chimes played it at Bowery Ballroom last summer. It immediately hit me. I just knew it was special.
Ravens frontman Asher Lack shared the song with me a few weeks ago, and I couldn’t believe how special the song was in recorded form. The band was abble to capture the spiritual essence of the live version, creating an incredible song that you all need in your life. Everything about the song, from the mood, to the lyrics, just speak about the human spirt and heart. I can’t really describe to you how this song makes me feel.
So I will let the music do all the talking. All I know is that “Carousel” is going to be on my best songs list at the end of this year. It’s taken from their upcoming new album, Holiday Life.
