Rogo has been telling me good things about Jay Electronica for a long time. It’s my fault for not listening sooner. However a lot more people are going to be paying attention to Jay now, as he has just been signed by Jay-Z to Jay-Z’s label, ROC Nation.
To celebrate, Jay released “Shiny Suit Theory”, a new song that features none other than the Hov himself. “Shiny Suit Theory” will be on Jay’s album, Act II: Patents of Nobility (The Turn). “Shiny Suit Theory” showcases Jay’s refreshing style of rap. It’s old school style where Jay takes great care and consideration with his lyrics. You know, the way it should be. His flow is also considerably chilled and relax, something that I really enjoy with rap.
