Fans of Girls & Smith Westerns will adore the short film Friends Forever that Ryan McGinley recently posted. It features clips of both Girls & Smith Westerns set’s at this years pitchfork festival.
It’s wonderfully shot, and edited with some great live audio. I have had the pleasure of catching Smith Westerns live before, and this is pretty accurate. The Smith Westerns song that they use in their clips is a new song called “All Die Young”. You can watch the bands performance from Bowery Ballroom this past august here (I embeded it below as well). If you notice a tall dude in front, that’s me.
