Them:Youth are a new band from West London who are gearing up for the release of their new single “Fever Rising” on August 16. It’s due on their own record label Big Hand Recordings. It’s also the first taste of their eventual debut album.
It sounds like it’s coming deep within a night club with its dark riveting bass riff and BRMC vocals. The band finds a way to combine garage rock coolness with dance sensibilities. “Fever Rising” does break down to gentler moments that reminded me of the always excellent Doves. “Fever Rising’ has a little bit of everything, showing that these guys have plenty of talents to offer up.
They certainly have potential to create anthematic music that can reach out to stadium worthy crowds.
“Fever Rising” was a nice little introduction to Them:Youth, and I am going to have to check out their other singles that were released earlier (“Bow & Arrows” + “Halo”). Grab “Fever Rising” below, and watch its music video.
