Sebastian Blanck is a singer-songwriter/accomplished painter from NYC. He is releasing his debut album, Alibi Coast, on Rare Book Room Records on June 22nd.
Sebastian actually used to be a member in Black Dice ten years ago. Don’t let that fool you though, his music is beautifully tranquil. Think of Simon & Garfunkel mixed with Elliot Smith. Elliot Smith gets dropped all the time when we talk about light voiced singer/songwriters, but it usually is a pretty accurate comparison.
Listen to a really pretty song off the record called Thunder. Caroline Polachek from Chairlift adds some guest vocals. The song is sweet and moving, proving Sebastian to be a true talent.
