Damn, I didn’t expect to get new Gorillaz anytime soon! Especially not today! Someone out there leaked the first single “Stylo” from their upcoming new album Plastic Beach!
The song starts off sounding pretty disco, and then Damon Alburn comes in and comforts everyone with his warm British vocals. It features Bobby Womack & Mos Def as special guests, which is one of the many remixes on the album (tracklisting after the mp3). Gorillaz were definitely aiming for a 80’s dance vibe with “Stylo”, and it is safe to say they achieved it.
I am really liking “Stylo” and am really excited to see what else the band brings to the table with Plastic Beach!!!
The band announced today that Plastic Beach will come out on March 9th, while “Stylo” officially comes out January 26th!
