Major Lazer are the duo of the highly talented DJ’s Diplo and Switch. Both, who are no strangers to the dance/indie game. They have combined forces under the moniker Major Lazer, releasing their debut album Guns Don’t Kill People..Lazers Do last month.
My lovely girlfriend has a great taste in music, and introduced me to these guys not too long ago. I didn’t like the first song she showed me by them (not sure which song it is). However, I stumbled upon another song of theirs, and have been playing it non-stop since.
It’s the summer fresh “Keep It Goin’ Louder”. The song also features Nina Sky and Ricky Blaze. If we lived in a righteous world where popular music didn’t suck, this song would be absolutely destroying the radio right now. The song is ridiculously catchy, having all the traits of a perfect pop song.
Add this to about any Discovery song for 2009’s best summer anthems. I’m all over this one!!!
