Today is May 19th, and it is another day full of new releases! Sorry that I didn’t get around to doing one last week, finals and moving out of my dorm took over my time! This week is a pretty solid one with one really big name (Eminem) and tons of smaller indie groups releasing new ones such as the insanely hyped Passion Pit. Overall, a pretty satisfying week for you music lovers.
Apostle Of Hustle – Eats Darkness
Apostle Of Hustle is a indie super group from Canada consisting of members of Broken Social Scene, and Feist. They make unique music that definitely isn’t easily accessible but if you give it enough try’s you may discover some really cool sounds.

Eminem – Relapse
The new one from Slim Shady is getting pretty solid reviews actually, but the general reception is that he can still do better. Relapse certainly is better than Encore, but that is not saying much. I wish he would lose the goofy accents.
[mp3] : Eminem – Beautiful
The Field – Yesterday and Today
The Field is back with more amazing minimal electronic that is sure to be a favorite of critics and hipsters. The album picks up just where From Here We Go To Sublime left off.

Iron & Wine – Around The Well
Iron & Wine a.k.a. Samuel Beam has offered up a 2 disc set of b-sides. This collection is probably for the diehard fans since it consists of rarities and home recordings. Knowing him, they will still sound lovely!

Passion Pit – Manners
Unless you have been living under a rock, you have heard of Passion Pit by now. If you have not, then get to it! Their debut LP is a fantastic album full of dance worthy beats and lush melodies. I am really enjoying this album!!

John Vanderslice – Romanian Names
John Vanderslice may just be one of the more underrated singer/songwriters in the game today. His output is consistently enjoyable. You always know you will get a solid set of tunes from this man. Check this out for sure!

White Rabbits – It’s Frightening
White Rabbits may remind of The Walkmen. Well, now add Spoon to that list. Britt Daniel of Spoon helped produce this Brooklyn bands 2nd album. They will be playing at All Points West, which will be an absolute delight to see! Percussion Gun is song of the year material!
