New York Film Festival Announces 2020 Main Slate

Film at Lincoln Center has announce the 2020 main slate of the 58th edition of the festival. The 25 films that join the previously announced Opening selection, Steve McQueen’s Lovers Rock, Chloé Zhao’s Nomadland as the Centerpiece, and Azazel Jacobs’s French Exit as the Closing selection. Two other films from McQueen’s Small Axe anthology Mangrove and Red, White and Blue will also screen in the Main Slate.

In an extremely shocking bit of news, Disney has decided that Mulan, one of its originally scheduled 2020 surefire worldwide blockbusters, will skip theaters and head directly to Disney Plus at a premium price. On top of a Disney Plus subscription, it’ll run you an additional rental price of $29.99 to watch. But considering the price of movie tickets and concessions, most families will see this at an extreme bargain, especially considering we’re all still stuck inside.

The big question surrounding the world of cinema is regarding Christopher Nolan’s latest blockbuster, Tenet. As of now, Warner Bros still has the film penciled in for its July date but that is obviously still a big question mark given the state of the world with Covid-19, so much so that the latest trailer ends with “Coming to Theaters”.

First Look At Robert Pattinson As Batman

Matt Reeves’ The Batman has started filming and today the director gave us our first look at Robert Pattinson as The Dark Knight posted a video of a camera test with the actor donning the suit.

Pattinson looks great in the suit, which features some moody red lighting and a score from composer Michael Giacchino.

Get your first look at Robert Pattinson’s Batman. It’s still early but it looks like people will be eating crow very soon doubting the casting of Pattinson.
