Pagodas is the Sheffield-based project of singer-songwriter Bryn Vincent, joined by a collective of musicians including Zoë Penny, Rory MacGregor, Ollie Clark, Alastair Gordon and Rhys Graham.
We previously shared a handful of their singles and they have since returned with a new mini EP, Bean Burger. Opening the EP is the single and title track, which features traces of 90s Brit Rock in the vein of Blur with a playful set of vocals that have a laid back charm that is perfectly suited for the more jangle pop musing on the track that have elements of Belle & Sebastian as well. It’s an effective indie rock track that has a ton of raw power in the way it delivers captivating hooks and an awesome slacker rock anthemic feel that is infectious and full of passion and heart.
