Gitkin is a multi-instrumentalist and producer hailing from Brooklyn, NY, who now resides in New Orleans, Louisiana and recently shared their latest album, Where the South Winds Wail.
“Rain Over Royal” is its opening track and single, one that operates in a world of a cinematic of surf and psych rock (thing Khruangbin) that feels like the sort of song that would soundtrack a killer scene in a film directed by Tarantino. There’s a sense of wonder to it, with a smooth groovy nature and even a big of a Sphagetti Western quality that is both playful, sinister, and hypnotic.
