sheep eyes is an LA-based post-punk/art rock band who have recently released their self-titled debut album, from which we have previously shared singles “Horn Of Plenty” and “Third Uncle.”
“Crusht” is a driving anthemic rocker with a big 90s atmospheric pulse that hits with a driving bite that has a huge scope that calls to mind the work of early The Dandy Warhols, with a raw punch to it, but also a glistening quality to its style and production that gives it a widescreen scope that absolutely soars through the sonic cosmos.
Then there’s the fellow single and standout “DSJ” that has a funky and groovy tight delivery with neo-psych rock inspirations that evoke elements of 90s staples such as Luna and Yo La Tengo. There’s a hypnotic quality that lingers in the air, evocative an full of some gorgeous melodies that sound like a late night stroll through the city during a crisp summer night.
