Those Saint Were Sailors is the ambient post rock project of Los Angeles, CA-based multi-instrumentalist James Lombardo, who has recently returned with single “Port + Starboard.”
Lombardo played all the instruments on the track, which dives into a lovely cinematic widescreen post rock sound with a strong emotional undercurrent in the spirit of acts like Explosions in the Sky and This Will Destroy You. There is a blend of heartwarming emotional resonance and building tempo that features a rousing spirit that also acts as a comforting presence that will allow for contemplative reflection and looks within.
