Bald Cats are an indie outfit Lodz, Poland that recently caught our attention with their single “Oh I Swear”, a track that is described as a reflection on what the world is becoming increasingly uncertain and unjust.

The track captures a blend of 80s new wave and electronic synthwave elements that capture a gentle yet stirring cinematic nature. Rich textured production with some awesome evocative moments instrumentally with a love-longing vocal performance and atmosphere that is captivating in an emotionally driven and reflective way. There is a romantic spirit lingering the air, that they capture so wonderfully.

Speaking further on the track, the band adds:

The song is a journey from macro-level reflections on how the world is becoming increasingly uncertain and unjust, to more intimate, micro-level experiences – a broken heart and the attempt to heal oneself. A more major-toned bridge – without lyrics – symbolizes moments of happiness, both those from the past and those that will surely come in the future. Musically, We were inspired, among other things, by the EP “As If We Never Won” by Kleerup.
