Pittsburgh-based singer-songwriter Mirabelle Skipworth returned with her new album, When The Waters Part, on February 13. One of the highlights of the album is single “Eat Of It.”
It was recorded entirely live with no overdubs, delivering sparse and tender slice of folk rock with a gorgeous sentimental nature that navigates the genre with precision and a heartwarming sense of emotion. There are traces of classic folk singers, with gorgeous instrumentation added to the depth and sonic range that channels elements of acts like Big Thief, Natalie Prass, and Jessica Pratt, with elements of its own that take it to a place of sincerity and tenderness.
