Dren McDonald is a composer, producer and multi-instrumentalist from California who has recently returned with an original sountrack for the game, Stay: Forever Home – Vol. 2 Cozy.
One of the singles and highlights from the record is “A Floating Portal In My Room”, a track that features hypnotic vocals from Sophia James which McDonald used modular synthesis to process and help add to the dream-laden and expansive ambient sound that serves as an ethereal daydream and comfort of sorts. While experimental in nature, it also feels completely enthralling and accessible with a poignant quality that feels reflective and contemplative.
