Swiss indie rockers Jon Hood returned with their new album, Pieces of Reality, on February 20, featuring tracks like their single and album highlight “Loud and Clear.”

It’s a floaty and atmospheric driving slice of indie rock that features a duet with Junge Eko (Catia Lanfranchi). There’s a hypnotic and airy quality to the track that features some of the playful art rock nature of Stereolab with some of the modern musings of acts like Dry Cleaning. So many colorful energy and textures that all combine into something potent and life-affirming with an old school charm that they still find a way to make their own. It’s a nearly 6-minute long track but breezes by faster than most songs that are 3-minutes.
