London’s Violet UltraRay have caught our attention with a handful of impressive singles, keeping their winning streak going with their newly released single “die 4 u.”

It was a song about obsessive devotion, described as a more anti-love than love song. Their knack for writing huge anthemic chugging 90s-era garage rock/power pop with a shoegazy bliss that all combines into something that hits you right in the feels. Their knack for writing naturally infectious songs with big time riffs is incredible, especially considering how consistent they already are in their young career.

Speaking on the track, they add:

die 4 u is about that slightly unhealthy level of devotion where you know you’re giving too much but you can’t stop. It’s built on a driving rhythm section that keeps pushing forward, while everything else sits in this hazy, reverb-heavy dream-pop / shoegaze space.
