Ship Says Om is the project of singer/multi-instrumentalist Jenny Gillespie Mason, who returned last fall with new EP, Dream Journal, collection of six ambient folk-influenced tracks, drawing from shamanic, Celtic, and global sounds.
“Mother Director” is a single and standout from the EP, a gorgeous set of dreamy folk and ambient qualities that submerge the listener into a peaceful state of being. There’s a relaxing and meditative quality to it that features soothing ambient production work that pairs magically with the restrained yet emotive vocals hums that leave you in a constant state of awe.
