Summer of Love is an act that has released a few singles over the past couple of years, one “born from a sense of euphoria.” They have certainly captured that feeling and then some on their newly shared single, “Stay.”

The track features some heavenly lush dreamy pop and groovy rock arrangements that certainly make good on their promise of delivering a euphoric sound. There are traces of acts like Air, Tame Impala, Thievery Corporation, and Khruangbin, in a fully-fledged atmospheric and cinematic sensation that puts the mind, body, and soul, at ease.

Further detailing the track, they add:

How hard is it to let go of someone you love, when all you really wish for is that they would stay? And yet—that’s the paradox—true love also means being able to let go.

This song revolves around that inner conflict and the accompanying feeling of “me” versus “the other.” The handpan and the skin-like rhythmic motif form the driving undertone, while clear breaks repeatedly reflect the inner dialogue. A song suspended between relaxation and tension.
