Our introduction to Denver-based musician Isaac Martinez came through “What Lauryn Said”, a track from his recently released album, Spiritual Lives of the Great Composers.
“What Lauryn Said” is based on the Lauryn Hill track “Everything is Everything”, delivered in an earnest fashion that pulls from classic hip-hop, but given a totally new spin with a hypnotic guitar riff that live drums that give it a completely different vibe that just feels alive and quite honestly, feels like a breath of fresh air considering the cooling presence of the sound that lays it all out there.
