faded cassettes is a Puerto Rican-based project led by a musician named Leo who just last year released his debut album, life goes on outside my window, and on January 6 returned with his new EP, doesn’t know me yet.
One of the highlights of the EP is its title track and closer “doesn’t know me yet.” It has a heavenly atmosphere with a foggy sense of new wave with a distinct 80s glow to it. Clocking in at 2 minutes and 19 seconds, its a Spanglish track that really delivers a sense of nostalgia and a stirring emotional sensability that is a wonderful closing statement for the EP.
