“Peak Gold” is a track from Atlanta-based musician Ryan O’Connell’s EP, The Weather’s Been Fine, which was released last December.

The track delivers a raw 90s indie rock sound with a pummeling sense of humanity and edge to it with elements of artists like Silver Jews and Mountain Goats with a sincere emotional vitality to it. There’s an honestly to the performance which taps into something organic and intimate, while also expanding its genre and breadth as it goes on.

Speaking on the track, O’Connell adds:

The entire track was recorded in a humid Atlanta kitchen, often right next to the cutting board where I was making deviled eggs.
