French pop artist Silly Boy Blue recently returned with their new EP, goodbye matters, which was released on October 24th via Unity Records. It’s a release described as an “intimate journey through grief and renewal across five seasons.”
“winter” is a lead single and standout cut from the EP, an airy and expansive slice of slow burn yet rousing pop. There’s an anthemic ballad quality to it that slowly widens as it goes on, with a melancholic and bittersweet quality that does capture the mixed emotions and feelings that tend to arrive with the winter and all that they bring with the holidays and end of the year.
