Red Axes is the Tel Aviv-based duo of Dori Sadovnik and Niv Arzi, who will return with their new album, LOUD, on November 21st via Kartel Music Group.
They have recently returned with their new single “Freak”, a track that is described as “a party, a provocation, and a dare -all shouted through a grin.” It features some throwback old school punk grooves with a dark haunted energy that shines through with a great deal of energy. Seductive and playful vocals are a perfect combination for the tight instrumentation that digs into a grimy garage and punk sound that is oddly seductive.
Speaking on its creation, Red Axes add:
We didn’t plan this one. It just happened -fast, weird, and loud. Built on impulse, driven by chaos. It’s not trying to be cool. It’s just letting the freak out. And once it’s out, good luck putting it back.”
