John Carpenter is a man that needs to introduction. The legendary director has helmed some of the great films of all time and as if that wasn’t enough, is responsible for their legendary scores as well. On October 9th he returned for his first live performance in seven years, a part of a two night run ahead of a few Los Angeles dates.

His live band included regular members like Cody Carpenter and Daniel Davies and saw him rip through all of the classics from his iconic film scores like Halloween, The Thing, Assault on Precinct 13, and Escape From New York. He also performed a few live debuts from songs from his soon to be released Lost Themes V: Cathedral.

The mood and the vibe in Knockdown Center was a perfect fit for the upcoming spooky season and had the devoted crowd of obvious Carpenter diehards in sync with him and his band the entire way through.
