Earlier this month Hannah Frances returned with new album, Nested in Tangles, via Fire Talk – from which we’ve shared a few pre-release singles.
With the album now out in the world, we are sharing one of the highlights of the record, “The Space Between”, which features Daniel Rossen of Grizzly Bear (playing cello, piano and percussion, as well as lending vocal harmonies). His contributions are a perfect accompaniment to the track which sees Frances channel a bit of Grizzly Bear with the jazzy and exploratory chamber folk qualities that are truly a match made in heaven.
Speaking on the track, she adds:
‘The Space Between’ is the culmination point of the album. It is an exploration of surrender without resolve or forgiveness, of living in the spaces left.”
