I am thankful that Air brought their tour in support of their 1998 debut album Moon Safari back for another run in 2025 after missing it last year. This edition saw them take over Brooklyn Paramount for a three-night run, with the final night of the run – and the entire tour – coming on October 12th. It was a special club version of the show, which turned the majestic room of Brooklyn Paramount into a standing room.

This was my first time seeing Air since they performed at Governors Ball in 2017 and of course it was that much more enticing considering they were performing all of Moon Safari with a specific stage design and light show catered for the occasion. It was simply stagger to experience this show in such a room, where it was pure sensory overload in the best way possible. The band – Jean-Benoît Dunckel, Nicolas Godin and drummer Louis Delorme – performed in a finely refined box which felt part like a Severance and Stanley Kubrick set combined with plenty of vibrant colors to make their incredible sound punch that much higher.

Of course after the album the band delivered an impeccable set of the very best material from throughout their career, which gave us the best of both worlds with them free from the constraints of the album, but still having the incredible stage show to bring them to life.
