Marni is a band from Los Angeles, California that caught our attention with their recently shared single, “Washed Up”, “a song about doubting yourself, wondering if you’ve got what it takes to make it.”
There’s a ton of 90s nostalgia in the track, which blends slacker and garage rock guitars and a blissful nature into a sound that carries a significant amount of emotion. There’s a steady handed rocking nature to the track with a hint of shoegaze in its DNA, carrying the torch of acts like DIIV, with elements of early Alex G as well – finding a great blend of the past and present to create something very much of their own.
