Jack Manley is a Kingston, New York-based musician (former frontman of Cosmonaut, The Jennifer Shop, and Spires) recently returned with new single “Way Loud,” the first from his forthcoming debut album, Where Are You Going? Where Have You Been?
“Way Loud” was written after a near-fatal overdose, described as “a visceral meditation on memory, estrangement, and the long road back to yourself.”
The track captures a blend of dreamy shoegaze with a lush melancholic atmosphere with a somber tone and spirit. It’s production and vocal delivery reminds us of some of the best of the 90s scene, with a flare and style of its own to really bring to a heartfelt place that hits hard in a raw confessional way that soars high with its instrumentation.
