Mysterious Swedish act Darkplace have returned with “Näcken”, the first single from their forthcoming sophomore album, About Nordic Folklore.
The track is described as a “sonic descent into Nordic Folklore”, diving into a darker heacvier presence with an unsettling nature that is equal paunts haunting as it is beautiful. There’s a real cinematic nature to the production which sounds epic in scope but with an innate spirit that shines super bright.
