(step)brothers is an Anglo-American duo that formed after collaborating within each others’ respective projects, and eventually came together as writing partners.
They have recently released their incredibly infectious and wonderfully titled single “I ONLY CALLED YOU (’cause you showed up in my dream last night)!” It’s about “seeing forgotten characters from your life appearing in your dreams” featuring the sort of chorus you’d hear in the 70s but delivered with the smart power pop hooks and smarts of Fountains of Wayne. It’s one hell of a sneaky little ear worm.
