Italian “post-funk” artist Alex Fernet has recently shared single “Sunlight Vampires”, released ahead of his upcoming new album, Modern Night, which will be released on September 12th via Bronson Recordings.

The track is a smooth blend of 70s funk and 80s pop / rock, that feels like a mix of Toro y Moi, Chromeo, and Tame Impala. Really seductive and groovy, it radiates some cool late night vibes made for summer listening. Speaking on the track, they add:

‘Sunlight Vampires’ is a song dedicated to individuals often seen as unconventional, such as artists, dreamers, rebels, outcasts, and minorities. Our vulnerabilities can be our strengths, our controversies can serve as resources, and just like how poison can become an antidote, we can embrace our unique qualities. In this sunlit world, we are all vampires in our own way”.
