Marble Raft is a Swedish indie pop duo consisting of the friends Olle Söderström and Gabrielle Werme Baker. They have recently shared single “Marble Halls” taken ahead of the release of their new album, Dear Infrastructure.
“Marble Halls” is a widescreen blend of indie synth pop with an enchanting and charming build that combines gorgeous vocals over colorful production work with a strong emotion hold over you.
Speaking on the single, the duo adds:
“With ‘Marble Halls” we wanted to bring the listener along on a voyage of discovery through grandiose scenes, though fragile and on the brink of collapse. The young protagonists explore halls of marble while satellites collide in the sky. It’s sort of an eerie house tour framed by energetic indie pop.“
